Ann Evans began writing as a hobby more than 30 years ago. That hobby turned into a career and a way of life. She writes fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. Her children's books are mystery, adventure and thrillers. Four of her ebooks, under the Little Tyke Murder Mysteries are whodunnits.

Her first published book was Cry Danger, published by Scholastic Children's Books. She went on to write another five books for them. Her latest fictional books for readers aged eight and upwards are The Beast, The Reawakening and Rampage, published by Usborne Publishing. She has also written an illustrated Children's History of Coventry, published by Hometown World, which is proving very popular amongst her home city's many schools.

Ann also writes adult fiction under a pseudonym. A Tropical Affair first published by DC Thompson will soon be re-released as an ebook. Ann also writes non-fiction and was a feature writer for the Coventry Telegraph for 13 years. She continues to write articles for a variety of national magazines.

Ann says that one of the best things about writing is working in schools doing talks and workshops and encouraging youngsters to write creatively and get interested in books. She occasionally runs creative writing courses and has prepared a non fiction book on this subject which is due to be released later in 2012.
